If you take me as a person, how much of who I am is actually composed of conclusions I came to on my own? Without media-generated ideas, advertising, or values forced onto me by my friends and family, what is me? Congress really has no idea how the internet works. Google, Twitter and Tumblr have no control over what people upload to or link from their websites. Why then should they be considered enablers of online piracy? Imagine the resources required to parse through the millions of Google and Facebook offerings every day looking for pirates who, if found, can just toss up another site in no time. ...
